Details of the 'be inspired' boxes that are now in my etsy shop. We have re-opened and I will be adding bits here and there as and when they are complete(!). Browsers welcome! x

Shop Update..................
Well my toes may be freezing here but I'm trying to think ahead of Spring and Summer, (although they do seem to be but a distant rumour at the moment!), thinking of brighter, warmer colours and light! I miss the glorious clear daylight and sunshine, enough of the grey, grey bone chilling days please.
So over the past few weeks I've been filling my shops up with more light hearted carefree and colourful items that for me pertain to Spring and Summer. Now I'm not great at this promotion of ones work but I have to say I do like to read about it on other peoples blogs. To find out when people have put new items in their shops, to hear and see new creations, experiments and ideas. I like many I'm sure, have a lot of shops 'bookmarked' or 'favourited' but I'm a bit slack in going to check if they've put anything new in them. So it's great to have it put there in front of me on their blogs. So here's to self promotion because if we didn't put ourselves out there and shout about our work how would anyone know???!!!
So here's my shop updates!
New items in my Folksy shop.

Busy? Moi? perhaps. I've been printing like a woman possessed and now have the job of cutting and stitching to complete, so I'll be showing you soon what has been happening there. It's a test of sorts so we'll see how the 'new' bits turn out.
Lastly but by no means least I'd like to say a BIG thank you to Helen of Simply H and also to Penny of Fibrefrolics for awarding me the Sunshine Bloggers award. Yay! Thank you so much ladies, I'm so pleased you feel that my blog brings a little beam of sunshine into your 'blogland' as it were. Now I know that I'm supposed to go on and award this to 12 more bloggers but I'm bowing out of this as I have far too many people I could award this to! Also I have a pile of things to make over the next few weeks for the upcoming fair, (whilst trying to stay calm...........in the midst of fabric) and find it far too easy to procrastinate on the laptop!

my award - (love gerberas)
See you soon with pics of the 'new' printed bits and more of my journal! ;0 X

Well this week I've been working on new pieces to send up to a lovely gallery/craft/workspace in Leeds called The Bowery.
A selection of items all in spring like creams/pinks/peaches and pale tones. All v feminine, I hope that they are well received.
They are a various mix of print/embroidered and fabric collage/embroidered pieces, with some recognisable images and a lot of abstract touches, constructed in to textile accessories. I have more pieces to make and will be taking photos and posting about them when they're complete.
Up close and personal! detail of my faded floral print and stitches

Four finished peachy/pink/cream clutch purses

I have also been setting up my new shop on Folksy. So all UK bods will now be able to buy from here too! I've added a few brooches for the moment but plan on filling this and my etsy shop with more stock over the next few weeks.
Both of the sweet bloom brooches below are now available in my folksy shop.

I am all packed and ready to go and visit my sis this weekend in Brighton, setting off shortly!
It is 'artists open houses' all this month in Brighton and IT IS FAB!!!! We've been several times over the past few years and had great fun following the various trails, visiting the open houses (some v v v gorgeous abodes out there!) and seeing all the wonderful art and craft work being created. Whatever the weather we will be out there!
So I am off with my camera in hand to hopefully get some good pics so I can come back and blog about my weekend next week.
Hope you all have a fab weekend whatever you're doing, Enjoy! ;0 x

New bits...........
A few new bits for your perusal and feedback!
I've been playing with making some buttons perhaps to include in/on my work? I quite like them when laid out in little collection/arrangements and photographed too. The ones below are my tiny stitched flowers made into buttons as suggested by the lovely kirstyfish.
some of my tiny seed head doodles transfer printed onto fabric with a few hand stitches and then made into buttons
some more petite purses in lilac with seed heads and lollipop flowers printed on them, plus a wee bit of stitching. (the lollipop purse is available from my notmassproduced page, I'll be listing the seed head purses on my etsy shop tomorrow - link is in my sidebar, need some light to take some more photos!)
And............................... a sample idea which I would be grateful of some feedback on. A simple tote and purse, with my abstract stitched pieces transfer printed on them with hand stitching and a few buttons. Trying to keep it simple. I like these colours together, quite fresh and perhaps even a touch nautical??!
Oooo had to include a pic of my new business cards from moo. what do you think? I was really pleased with how they came out although I know this picture doesn't do them justice.
As always I'm overwhelmed by the fabulous people that stop by and visit my blog, thank you you talented bods! wishing you all a fab weekend as it's nearly here! ;0 x

Just a small post today..............
Just a quick post today.
I've been experimenting with ideas for photographing my bloom brooches. see what you think. I quite like them sat on the top of these tea cups. I've played with the exposure of this photo too.
Pssttt....... I'm having a bit of a destash of materials and bits an' bobs. Below are the 'packs' I've put together so far.
You'll find them available for purchase in my etsy shop now. There you will see much better photos of the items included in the 'packs' too.
If you know of anyone who may be interested in them, then pass on the message! I'm trying to have a de-clutter of the workspace, I know how much like magpies all us creative folk can be! So I'm trying to whittle down my stash, so that I'm using what I have and can find things easily. Items you know you have and want to use get lost too easily amongst mounds of 'stuff'!
Hopefully I'll have some new pieces finished soon to get your feedback on.
Well the weekends nearly here! so enjoy it everyone ;0 x
