Remember a while back I said I had purchased a new handmade sketchbook to journal in? Well I decided to save it for this new year and have now started to play in my new book. Here's some of my doodlings from my first page spread.
My journal is to be a place to doodle, experiment and play. If something doesn't work then it doesn't matter and it's good to make mistakes to learn from them and they can often be better than what you first set out to do. What are you doing new for you?

The first two pages look great. Happy New Year to you too.
awesome pages!
Wow, you've made a great start. I have a journal that I want to fill with sketches and doodles and things, I sit down open it up and......nothing,can't think where to start!!!!! I'll try again x
You're obviously a Pam Garrison devotee! I just can't get her effect without my pages looking muddled - you have done great with yours! And I love your watercolour - are you using paints or watercolour fibre pens?
Hi Lynne,
I am touched by your compliment about Pam Garrison! These are all my own meandering doodles as it were but I do love Pam's work. I just wanted my sketchbook/journal to be a visual one with plenty of pages to play and make mistakes upon. I use watercolour paints as well as inks and collage (and my new sharpie pens!) :)
