Sue Allan - sewsister

A little bit delayed in posting about Sue Allan's work, but at least better late than never! Sue was on the stand next to me at the Contemporary Textiles Fair and aside from being a very lovely person, cheery, smiley and bubbly, she is also a very talented lady!

My pics probably aren't as good as they should be and don't do justice to Sue's work, so apologies, but believe me her work is lovely.

Full of charm, quirky and individual. Her art dolls art just exquisite, such detail and so beautiful. Her sock and fabric creatures are all such characters and full of personality, you need to have one in your life!

Her wall art pieces are also fab. She has stitched collage fabric pieces as well as these quirky button ones below. All of the buttons Sue has made herself before assembling them as art pieces.
Introducing you to.................................... Lucy! My lovely parents and sister bought me her, Lucy is just too great for words! And Sue was happy that Lucy had gone to a good home, what a nice thing to say.
So please take some time out and nip on over to Sue's website and take a look at her work - Sewsister
You won't be disappointed.

And finally totally unconnected! A pic of the scrummy (according to my Mum & Dad!) lemon and lime drizzle cake I baked and took home to them the other weekend. Mum was disappointed I hadn't put a pic of it on my blog so she could show her friend, so here it is Mum! x
